Additel takes temperature calibration to the next level with the ADT878 reference dry block calibrators. If you're looking for the best dry-block calibrator on the market, you've found it! Additel's commitment to continuous improvement, quality and efficient working time savings is fully embodied in the ADT878 series. Choosing from three models ranging from -40 to 700 °C, you will find the perfect solution for your calibration. The Process Calibrator option adds a separate input for an external PTO reference, dual-channel readout for the HRTs under test, and a full suite of capabilities to help with everything from measuring temperature sensor signals to calibrating thermocouples, as well as self-calibrating the reference dry-block calibrator and setting up HART transducers. Each unit comes standard with a large touchscreen display, dual-zone temperature control and Additel's commitment to the best customer service in the industry. Process Calibrator option

Each model can be purchased with a Process Calibrator (PC) option. This option combines a wealth of useful features combined into a full-featured documenting process calibrator with built-in HART communicator and reference-level dry-block temperature calibrator. This option includes the ability to measure the reference PTO signal with virtually any type of connection and to measure signals from two devices under test with the ability to measure mA, voltage, temperature relay, PTO or thermocouple. Calibrations of the most common types of PTO and thermocouples are already included in the internal software of the calibrator, other calibrations are also possible by additional order. In addition to these measurement functions, you have full documentation capability with the creation of automatic calibration jobs, saving of initial and post-adjustment results, and the ability to communicate with a HARTsmart transmitter. The Process Calibrator option also features a built-in full-featured HART switch that allows users to read, configure, and calibrate HART transducers. The screen snapshot function allows you to capture all the information displayed on the display with just one click. This option allows you to record the data of all channels during the implementation of the automatic step function. Using a reference PTO, you can also choose to control the dry-block thermostat setpoint temperature by the value of either the built-in sensor or an external reference PTO.

Self-calibration

We are convinced that using an external reference sensor as a standard is the best choice for temperature calibrations. However, we also recognize that this method is not always necessary and convenient, and depending on specific applications, using an internal built-in reference sensor may be a more rational alternative. Traditionally, the internal control sensor has lower accuracy, which is largely due to its long-term drift. The built-in self-calibration function allows you to automatically calibrate the internal reference sensor using your external standard. In just a few clicks, the calibration will run automatically, giving you a new, traceable calibration of the internal sensor, improving its accuracy as you don't have to account for its long-term drift if you decide to use it as a reference.

Automation functions

Traditionally, dry-block thermostats were simply a steady source of heat. To increase the ease of use of our reference dry block calibrators, we have added automation features that allow these amazing devices to be used as a highly stable heat source, a triple water point apparatus, and as an annealing furnace. In conjunction with the ADT878-TPW-KIT, the ADT878-160 Dry Block Reference Calibrator can be used to automatically reproduce and maintain the triple point water ampoule. Traditional methods require time and deep practical skills to reproduce the triple point of water (TPW). Additel has simplified this process with the feature of automatic realization of PTV. Simply insert the PTO ampoule into the well of the reference dry block calibrator and run the appropriate procedure. The automatic program will notify you when the ampoule reaches the state of hypothermia. Remove the ampoule and shake it, then you can maintain the PTV simply by reimmersing the ampoule in the calibrator well. In this way, you will be able to control the drift of your PTO. When you buy our reference 700 °C dry block temperature calibrator, you will find, among other things, an automatic function technical annealing of PTO. We have preset annealing procedures that set a specific annealing time, temperature and cooling rate. You can also create your own annealing routines.

Together with the Additel calibrators of the ADT878 series, you can order the Additel protective transport case 9915-878, which provides protection of the equipment located inside from various mechanical damages such as shocks (including falls) and vibrations.
